Dear Roena, first of all, thank you very much for your time and for all your comments, I just read this one and it is very helpful. On this picture I applied a different technique, I waited until a layer dried and put on a new one. The colors did get darker as it dried and I was also surprised that the sky became darker.
Just 2 days ago I found Richard's video on light and atmosphere and downloaded it. Very interesting! One this he did do as you mentioned, that he added sky color to the land color.

Bernadett, Great sky! You have truly captured it down to the sun's glow on the horizon. Another excellent thing you did was to make the edge of the creek/river have little < or > going into the land. That is really helpful to help the land lay down and go away from you. The tops of the trees on the left are good irregular shapes, and the distant trees are faint. Nice side to side strokes in the water to help it lay down, and good reflections from the clouds. The only thing I see that it is lacking is some lighter color on the distant land near the horizon for aerial perspective. You did this very well in the sky - darker up at the top near you and getting lighter closer to the horizon. Good job on this one. // I did a lot of exploring the site today as I am new, and "someplace" Richard had a free art lesson that delt with aerial perspective. I wish I could tell you exactly where to look, but I dont remember. I believe he added some of the sky color into the land color to help it receed. Ro
