Awesome brushwork! Strong composition with excellent focal point. Did you use black in the tree? I never use black but rather a mix of Thalo Violet, Ultramarine Blue and a splash of Raw Umber to knock down the intensity. Nice work!

love the looseness of your strokes and the thickness of your paint. I struggle with getting the paint on the canvas. I tend to skimp and never have enough and have to remix.. grrr... Really dig the sky Dirk!. :)

So peaceful Dirk! A really lovely painting, giving such a light and airy feeling it makes me want to throw my arms wide and breathe in the cool, fresh air.
