Thanks Mairo for the info on your paper!
Thanks a lot Anne, for your positive comment. I think it was this Gull's attitude that incited me to paint it, I really liked it too.
Hi Candi, It's really nice to hear that you are drawn bck to see my painting. That is a compliment! The paper I used is Oil painting paper from the brand "Canson". It is 290 g/M 2 (140 lb) and this one is called "figueras". Have a nice rest of the week :)
Keep coming back to look at this little beauty Mairo! Just wondering what kind of paper you used?
Love the handling of the lights and also the attitude of the gull. Great job.
Many thanks Ana and Amy for your nice comments. I really appreciate it.
Good job, Mairo! He is very determined to march on. I like the movement feeling and the plumage is so convincing. I have to say it again, very good job!
Thank you very much Nancy, I really appreciate it. And Doria, thank you too; I am very chuffed by your applause!!
Hello Gunther, I am so pleased to get your encouraging words. Many thanks! I laboured a fair bit over the sea and water as I tried to do it just like the photo but it was not working at all. As a solution, I took inspiration from the background of your Irish Seagull and it was extremely helpful and gave a much more satisfying result. I owe you my thanks for this :)
