acrylic on board, 60 x 80 cm. I fancy a trip round the bay and then an evening meal in one of those little restaurants on the port.. ..as the lights come on and spill across the water.
Another pea green sea! - acrylic phlato green is pretty hi-powered!

Very nice Jon.   You show great drawing skills.  I really enjoy this color scheme!!!  Be careful of 2 identical mass sizes ...the buildings on the left and right ..equal masses.  Also, be on guard for things that line up ..the backs of your boats, for instance.  Lastly, unify the painting by infusing some of those reds into the green water.   Well, not lastly ....watch out for identical shapes ..your clouds and mountains.

Arh, silly of me - Ian's drone of course :) !

sure, by getting in the chopper and painting in the air or photographing and paint from the photo.  You can get the perspective of objects below and add in color to your liking if it is just all gray and white (as it is here, too)!  Any view from tower, an angle view, not just straight down of course.  Would be different!

Hi Sharon - that's intriguing! - what do you mean? - a view from the top of the tower?! Please explain and you'll maybe give me the impetus to do yet another one (I'm short of subject matter here in teh grey winter!)!

That would be a great painting from up above!

Sharon - good thinking - nifty idea!

Ian -Yeah, I know ;(    - I do usually (well, often) think of it, sometimes it's really hard to avoid - I mean it does fall naturally there (eye level!) - well just have to be sure to paint looking down or up. So, the first composition/design question is, am I a submarine or a helicopter :D ?
