Plein air - Manukau Heads - sept13

Oil on unstretched linen. 14" x 11". Undertaken in two half days plein air end Sept 13. Blowing a gale for days we went away. For this location, we 'hid' behind (and sort of 'in') trees to paint!

Thank you for your words on this one. Re the scraping back - no, I use a knife to place these on ( use a knife similar shape to putty knife). Have to be a bit careful with painting knife as tend to want to use a little bit too often.

Must learn to take into account not to paint what I am looking at and interpret for a painting.
