Thank you Jessica!
Just a gorgeous painting, Laura - so much rich colour & the water is wonderful!
lovely work Laura
Thank you Eddie for you stopping by and commenting! I agree with you and I will keep in mind in the future work. Thank you again!
Nicely done Laura. Lovely sky. Think in terms of atmospheric perspective. As with the sky you could soften the horizon line back land mass a little. How do feel about the values in the mid ground versus the foreground? I do think you have the makings of a very nice, nuanced painting as seen by how you handle your greens in the midground.
Michael, You are a good teacher and I am not a too bad student.
Olivia! I am so glad you like it. Olivia, in this case, I did put very little Crimson near horizon because the far away hill also have Cramson in it. I don't want to create too much contrast between the hill and sky. And very often I put little bit Crimson on my sky color for clouse shadow. I hope I answered your question, Olivia.
lovely painting Laura. When you went through the colours in your sky you didnt mention red and I see it quite
pinkish at the horizon. Is it effect of photo?
Your did yours real doggone good though!!! :))
Thank you Cristina! It really encouraging me and I appreciate it!
Thank you so much Colleen, Stu for your encouragement!
Michael, you are kidding! the way how to paint sky exactly I learnt from you from your comments on my painting "Resting Place". I just follow your RECIPE: White add yellow( I use Cad yellow) and then gradually add little bit cerulean blue and UB from lower to up the sky. All my paintings since Resting Place the sky is much brigher and warmer. You are always the teacher! and Thank You!
