Hey, Silvana! Thanks.. ..I've made the mods suggested by Anne and Michael. Think I'll stop there - mayb it'll stay in my mind and return as something similar (and hopefully better) somewhere down the line... ...someone said that an artits is, in fact, trying to "recover" the images/s they initially saw that made made them love art... the thing is I know what those images are for me - weird!
I just like it!
Thanks, Michael Xiao and Anne :). Ok, I'll make the mods!
Great job with this painting ! It would help tie it all together to get some warmer tones similar to the roof around in the grass, just a few as accent points, I see one at the 1/3 line front. I admire the light on the buildings and roof area.
Beautiful.
Jon, just noticed this: Your sunlight is coming from the left, but there is a tree shadow in the middle foreground that makes it look like your sunlight is coming from the right? ...I would get rid of that shadow.
Jon, this is one of my favorite paintings of yours!!! ...what a great painting!! ....just one thing .....repeat the warm reddish color from the roofs, into the figures jacket ...only darker, of course, because it is in shadow. That will relate the figure to the painting and balance that warm tone. ...wow, this is a good painting.
