Thanks everyone and thanks Michael for your input. I' did this in acrylics on mdf board. Hence it does not look very glossy as it would in an oil painting.

Well painted Paul.  I like your simplification of the scene!! .... Your asymmetrical composition is right on!!   I always love a warm color scheme ...great use of the dominant warm orange and the sub dominant blue.   You did a good job on unequal masses, but be aware of the same number of trees on the right and left.  Also, try to avoid crossing linear elements  like a big "X".  Nice painting.
