I started my Workshop 3 painting with the usual happy vigor and was quite happy with the distant mountains. However, I continued next day, obviously in different mood .... and messed up! I think it was wrong to use only palette knife so I'll be trying another painting this week, smaller, and using more brushwork.

I took about 9 pics of this painting as an exercise in composition - and the second pic I uploaded here (the one with less spiky trees bottom right and left) is the one I think has the better composition.

And so we trot on ........ loads and loads to learn :o)

And thanks for the Like because of it :o) I'm hoping to surprise you in this 4th Workshop with my hours of colour study .... and perhaps by using a brush only and hiding my treasured palette knife from myself so I'm not tempted to pick it up and let it take over (as usual). I've just ordered your Colour DVD .... so watch out world - here I come!!!

Thanks for your kind words :o) Oh dear ... there are no other comments. I only uploaded 3 of the 9 images so as not to overload the site with my attempts. And I also ran out of time to do another painting .... Oh to really be superwoman!!! This is a major learning curve for me though and I'm determined to see it through to the end and to see a tangible change in my efforts by Challenge No. 12

Be chatting again soon - have a great weekend. I've snatched a few minutes to myself at the moment - there's a stained glass workshop going on in the studio here at the moment .... with loads of elastoplast being applied to damaged fingers!
