Vida, I am off to the wine country with my son and his wife who are here from Wisconsin.  I will have to stream the video demo later and watch Jo's review of all the homework.  I love his teaching and I believe my work is starting to reflect a lot of what I learned from Jo's prior classes as well as from Richard.  Keep it up; I certainly will.  Stu

Stu, I have it and have just watched it again!  Love it and especially the way he makes things easy to understand.  It just takes practice to get what's learned in the brain to come out of the brush.  Will see you in Johannes class in a few hours!

Vida and Debby, get Richard's "Mastering Color" course, it will help you.  Stu

Actually I made about 7 attempts Debby LOL... this one was the last.  I too struggle with muting tones but I feel pretty good about this outcome.  I appreciate the encouragement :)

I noticed you made two attempts, switching from bright to muted tones.  I struggle with muting my tones...so good job!  I do enjoy these color harmonies better.  :)

Vida, I was in Larry's class and disappointed also.  I was surprised that Johannes stepped in; but he is an amazing teacher.  I am very impressed that you are actually going to do the 120 daily paintings.  I started to paint plein aire on my own almost 5 years ago and it is improving gradually and not nearly as rapidly as I would like.  It is so hard to put on canvas what I see in such a short period of time with changing light.  But the only way you get better at it is just to do it.  Nice progress in your work.  Stu

Thank you Stu!  I am feeling better about trees after the class and after working so hard on this scene.  I watched carefully what others are doing with their trees and learning so very much from everyone.  I loved Johannes class and also thought it was very kind of him to take over Larry's class on Tuesday as well.  Were you there?  This was my third week of trying to get into Larry's class (2am for me) so I just had to laugh when this time his power went down and I STILL couldn't experience the webinar lol.  I wonder what will happen next Tuesday?

Hope you are enjoying your day.  I am going out now (4pm) to do #4 of the 120 daily paintings challenge.  My 120 paintings will be only from life and preferably plein air (which is my panic zone).

Happy Painting!

Vida, nice work. Your color harmony is good. Nice brushwork. Your trees are getting better. How did you like Johannes course? I'm looking forward to the next challenge. Stu
