Thanks everyone, I was having a little troulble because some fluke in the system cancelled my subscription. I could see what everyone was writing but was unable to respond. All better now.
This is my favorite of you Elfrida. I just voted for it........Smiles to you : ))
Elfrida, I love this one. Your unique design of the composition makes the painting a strong message and impact on the viewer. At the same time it keeps its elegency and subtle gesture with well calculated details. I enjoy your colour arrangement very much too.
Thank you laura xu. I try for clean clours and am recently trying for lighter colors. I just did another quicky that I will post where I tried for a more pastel quality - question is how to do that without giving it a washed out look. So much to learn and explore !!
Elfrida, you know what? the more I see it and the more I like it. The colous are just so clean ...
I don't see my response from last night so maybe I forgot to post it, but thank you all for your positive comments. I have done two other sunsets but by the time I got to this one I started to feel a beginning of understanding as to what Richard was saying about the cloud shapes. Amazing how long it takes to really come to "understand" a painting concept. I guess there is our mind understanding, then there is our interpretation understanding.
This is wonderful, Elfrida!
It is very unique Elfrida! beautiful!
I like your clouds Elfrida. They are unique!
Nice Elfrida! ...Kind of Maxfield Parrish style!!
