My first painting of 2016... As I was outside, I saw this Hooded Sinskin (Cardeulis magellanica) and decided to paint it!!
Still not very happy with the painting... suggestions welcome!!

Thank you Dor, Michael and Jessica!!! Yes Jessic, the feet are somewhere there... I tried to suggest them with a darker grey, but perhaps it's not clear enough?

Wow, Silvana - this is wonderful!  The bird is gorgeous & the colours on the tree trunk are so well chosen, great texture too!  Just wondering about the bird's feet - maybe a bit more indication of one of them would be good?  I think maybe it's hidden behind the leaf, but not sure? Beautifully painted!!!
