Oils on textured board. 24x30 cm.
Now, this was a challenge.... I was getting quite at ease with landscapes....this tumbled me over...Nice Workshop though, and for sure, it should be the first flower of many.... practise is the key...andI'll try my best to stick to that!!!! Comments and critiques welcome!!

Thanks Candi and Laurena!
Nice! I like your brush work.
Silvana, this is VERY nice!
Thanks Jessica!! :)
Lol Silke! Actually I didn't pay much attention to the textured panel... I thought it would make an interesting pattern in the cloth. No, it doesn't make it difficult at all. It's gesso, and oils cover it quite well.
Thank you Iwan!
This is lovely, Silvana!
Really beautifully done, Silvana. What irritates me, is the underlying structure that often crosses the natural direction of the brushstrokes. Does that not make it harder to paint?
Thanks a million Sandi!
Lovely light Silvana, nice composition with no repeated blocks, lovely treatment of textures, cools and warms. Not an oil painter as you know so very much enjoy and admire the talent with this medium!
