Thank you Arndreas for your comments!!!
You are so creative!
Thank you Michael, Cristina, Ann and Thomas for your comments. Ann, yes it is a plexi glass on the bottom. It is from one of the picture frames I bought for the paintings and it seems perfect for this job. One thing you may not be able to see is that there are two small slots I cut at the back of the top panel of the box, one on each side for hanging the background cloth if it is needed. You just need to stick the end of the cloth out the box and clip it with a clipper.
Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking good Xiao. Is that plexi glass in the bottom for reflections ? It is supposed to be a rainy winter here so I plan to do some still life also. Thank you for sharing
Awesome! Yeah!!! :-)
Xiao, try the LED's ...they stay cooler and last a lot longer!! ...they come in warm or cool light. If you do use the fluorescent, make sure they are 5000 to 6000 K. ...daylight type light.
Thank you Jessica, Laura and Michael for your comments. It was fun to build it. Jessica, you are right about be careful with the heat from the lamp. The first light bulb I picked for the shadow box was the regular light bulb. It did get quite hot and then I switched to one of those fluorescent curved bulb. It is bright and much less heat. It is perfect.
Go for it Xiao .....yeah!!!!!
It is really nice Xiao. It encourage me to build one too. Meanwhile I just use room natural light for still life setup.
