Thanks Pauline. I think I am going to try another one, incorporating your suggestions to create more of a spotlight effect than I already have. Stu

Really like you way you have handled the foreground of your painting Stu.  It wasn't an easy area to convey in a loose style of painting but you have done a very convincing job.  I love the spotlit area to the right it gives your painting mystery and arouses curiosity.  To make this more poignant you could darken the area in the top lefthand corner/triangle and bring a shadow down just before the people and lighten the sky a little at the top. i think that would make the spotlight pop. Just a thought!

Thanks Linda.  None of us improve if we do not push ourselves.   I look forward to seeing your painting.   Stu

Thanks Dor and Ann.  I wish I could get the juiciness and flowing strokes that Richard does.  Have to keep at it until I get it.  Stu

Way to go Stu!   Looks to me like you are having fun  and getting freer with your brush strokes........I particularly like the colors and brush work in your large tree.  Like the way the s shape leads me into the painting.......... Smiles coming you way.........: ))
