Not en plein air!

Painted along with Richard's video - haven't been able to do this plein air yet, but hope to have a chance sometime! Meanwhile, wanted to learn & practise.... Figuring out what the water should reflect was a bit tricky - should it reflect the sky or the hills? or both?? Trying to learn to put down a brush stroke & leave it alone! Not so easy! Maybe reflections need to be blended a little anyway?

Reflections will occur below what is being reflected ..BUT, in this case, the suns reflection is overpowering what would have been a reflection of the background bluff. I think your transformation from one tone to the other is great ..I would not blend it anymore ..it will go muddy on you.
