Lovely happy painting ! Great use of color with the flowers grouped in nice family groups that move the viewer back into the painting

Actually, I paint them last but use a lot of paint! I do go in and darken a little around them here and there but if I did them first I would lose the movement I want. A palette knife comes in handy when I want clean color. When i use acrylics though, I do paint them first.

I have a technical question for you Jennifer:  How do you paint your flowers?  do you put them in first and then negative paint the greens, or do you put them in over the greens?  Seeing how clean the flowers are, I am suspecting the first option?
