So kind of you all, Cristina, Linda, Silvana, Ann & Michael!!  Thanks very much for your always encouraging remarks!  Michael - I tried to up the contrasts here, as you suggested in my last painting.  Ann - thanks for noticing the things I was trying to do with broken colour!  Good point about the tree branches; you're right - and the trees were one of the things I wanted to work on more!  

Thanks to all my painting friends - enjoy the next workshop!  I'll be back painting in about a month or so after my middle son's international wedding!  I'm sure I won't be able to resist checking in now & again to see what you're all up to!  Happy painting! :-)

Nice figure work especially the main couple as they step from dark into the light. I see the nice broken color in the paving, sky etc. The dark arch frames the scene nicely good use of warm and dark color. You might want to add some smaller support branches to the trees and the far one would look more realistic if the branches tapered off to become smaller and almost invisible as they move out of the painting so your eye doesn't follow them out. Just something to think about for next time. Beautiful and enjoyable painting
