Susie, per your request of "What do you guys think?" and these are nit picks for the most. Nice work overall. Your apple and oranges are very closeto each other in hue--add some yellow to your oranges and some reds to your apple. Also splash a little more red color from the apple in its cast shadow on the pitcher. Also the gold on the pitcher needs to pop where the light hits it--yellow ochre and white. Dull down color in your oranges a little in the shadows and pop the color with more yellow-orange in the light. You can do most of this with glazes. Coat your whole painting when it's dry to the touch with Liquin or Galkyd and brush some color into the areas you want fo change--it's easy to wipe it all off. Photograph before and after to see how it looks. You cloth folds, your pitcher, and your background all are great. Also pop a few more highlights into your flower and pick up a little of the oranges and reds in the white of the flower as bounced light and to unify it. The rose was a nice idea to balance out the composition and add visual interest on the right side as well as a nice lead in to the pitcher. I need to get started on my painting; probably will this weekend. Stu
