Silvana - I thought working small would help me improve - biut I guess that under 40? 50? 60? cm wide I just feel cramped - need to find the ideal size!
Michael - I keep hearing Richard's voice in my head - saying "yummy grays"! (did he say that?)
Anne, your eye is so keen and such a help! - that tree was very bare and "see through" - and I knew I needed to get it back from being far too overworked!
Hi, Jessica - it was - there's snow on the peaks in the background (probably doesn't "read" in my painting!)
Lovely & interesting scene, Jon. Looks cold out there!
Very good figure work they help to set the scale. I agree with Michael that the neutral tones are beautiful together. Just an observation that would give it more interest, the round tree center would be better if the shape was more interesting by making it irregular and not so lolly popish.
I just love the muted colors in this one Jon!!!
Great! I wonder what a small canvas is for you Jon! I think your small canvases are my big canvases....!!!!!
