Thank you all so much, your kind comments are so encouraging.  Once I photographed this, i could see so much wrong with it, but I am thrilled that you guys like it.  These photos are great, though - while painting you almost feel as if you are in Hawaii!  Nancy, I do tend to pile on the paint, especially at the end.  I am trying to paint thinner, but I tend to get carried away.

Casey, I absolutely love your loose style of painting.  Also, I love your use of color.  Do you use a great deal of thick paint to get the effect you do?

Very nice!  I'm envious of your ability to paint in this style! Very good rendering of the figures..I see manly strides going on.  And you can make this better?

It's going to be a busy month for me, so while I hope I can do a better one, for now this will have to do. Now that it's up here,  I see glaring faults, but there it is.  I used Cobalt blue, cerulean, sap green, cad orange and yellow ochre.
