Delores, we are all learning something; my left hand rocks had problems too. Most importantly, don't give up, just keep trying. Stu

Thanks Li and Stuart. This one had such awful lighting, but I wanted to get it in on time. As it happens there was still time the next morning to rescan it and send it in again. That one is a bit better...sort of. Next time, I'll try the white paper trick and see what happens. As for the rocks in the left corner, I had already given it up as ruined and just started putzing around and that's what I ended up with. This class is such a learning experience for me.

Delores, a tip on photographing your work: put apiece of white paper beside the painting and adjust your tint to the white of the paper before cropping it out of the photo. Your lighting unless it's extreme will not make such a difference in the tint of your photo. Merry Christmas. Stu

When I opened your photo of painting I was  impressed as your interpretation is very different from many of us. Very soothing color harmony.  You emphasize the shape of the left corner rock with a textura which I do not know how you did it, interesting and efecient. Good job!
