Guys I'm thinking of returning to the island to get some different photos of this scene for you and will likely try to record my demo painting on the spot too, and do some other studies for the larger commission.
Pah Beach - this is the spelling the locals gave me but 'Pa' is a Maori (NZ indigenous) word for a fortified village, so there was likely one of those around here a few hundred years ago.
Great photo here.....I just read where in your country a large number of whales beached themselves this week. So sorry to hear this. New Zealand appears to be a beautiful place, thank you for the letting us have a looksee.
Amaze me again Richard!
Great photo!
Would love to be there right now. Winter is just setting in, Michigan can get quite cold. and a lot of snow. I like this image and would love to see more of the tree on the bluff. In my opinion the scene would be great showing the entire tree. Lots of oportunity to use a lot of effects in this shot. I say go for it. Richard I know you will know how to handle it. Best wishes, Gary what does Pah mean?? In Pah beach.
Want to have all the workshop details. I will be in this workshop. Personal problems have kept me from painting. Have gotten rid of the personal problems and now I will begin to paint instead of just dreaming about it. Count me in.
You bet Richard Beautiful Shot
Let's give it a try, or take a dive!!! What a place!!!
Oh what a beautiful place. You will have a fantastic painting. Eager to see it.

Betty
