Yesterday I went to an old fish pond in Sampson County do do a little plein air (on location) painting. The owner saw me from across the pond and checked me out. There were no posted signs. What a coincident but I had seen him ten hours before at a revival service. He gave me permission to go any time and I'm so glad because there are many barns and an old store on the property. I quickly did an 8x10 oil on canvas board just of part of the pond. Took about an hour. Like MacArthur "I shall return!"When I can I use the toolbox on truck to set my pochade box. From parking to painting is 5 minutes.

I just may do that.  When the dandelions get fuzzy, it is just beautiful here by all of the garden shacks.  I'm gonna try to capture that this year.

That's fantastic that you found a nice place like that.   I am living in Germany right now and there are many old houses and "Garden Ghettos" I would like to paint.  I haven't got the nerve to set up anywhere near them yet.  Enjoy your new outdoor studo!
