I got my paints out again and made some changes here. I'm not going to be making anymore though because as I was in the process of painting when someone on Facebook said they might be interested in purchasing this one! I stopped painting right then and posted the new one. Hopefully she still wants it! I added the palm trees for more sense of depth and changed the hill in the foreground so that it wasn't such a straight edge. I also changed the sand and edge of the water a little. I was going to lighten the sky but that's when she contacted me about it! I did darken the birds though. I can finally look at this piece, hanging on my wall, and say it's done! :)

Thank you Larissa! It's my home town! (But I added the palm trees to this view so now it looks a little more like Laguna!) :)

This is a wonderful place with a beach and flowers. I'd love to visit this place! This is a great work, Jennifer!

Thanks Michael! I learned about those little sparkles from Groeshner (probably not the right spelling, I'm sorry) His book was the best (and first) book I've bought as far as inspiring me. That was about 5 years ago now, but I still go back to his words from time to time. The added palm trees and bluff revision were from your earlier critique. Your input and wisdom is not ever taken lightly. It sticks in my head! haha That's a good thing though:) Thanks!

I agree Jennifer! ..it should sell ..it is a very good painting.   The palm trees added depth because of the overlapping.  I also noticed that you painted a few more spacial planes in the distant ..there is some atmosphere between the first headland and the one behind it!! ..excellent.   .....FRAME IT!!  BTW, those little sparkles of light on the far headland ..I love that kind of stuff ...i am always looking for an excuse to put those "diamond sparkles" in my paintings! ..good goin'
