I don't even know what kind of car this is, but I saw it with it's owner, and asked if I could take pics. She said it was her first and only car! (I think she was in her 60's). It's like family to her and her dog rides in the passenger seat. How she survives our very wet weather with her leaky old canvas top is hard to imagine! This is the most measuring and technical drawing I have ever done.
I might do a bit more covering of the underpainting on the closest fender. but I want to live with it for a while this way first.

No, Michael,  I sold it privately to a friend, actually.  She said she has to have it because she can't stop thinking about it ; ).  My tiles, coasters, cutting boards, and cards sell well in the galleries, but not original paintings. The feedback I keep getting is to paint BIGGER.  So, I'm painting "smaller" (for dailypaintworks.com and for pet commissions) and as soon as I have a better space for it will paint "bigger" for galleries.

Hi Britt , I like it , looks like an MG kind of , but could be a Karmann Ghia , that is not important though. The painting itself is great , the work on the chrome , headlights , turn signals , rims , and tires just great! (sorry hadn't read any comments MG it is then)

Thanks Craig

Oh thank you, Michael! It's nice to know what it is finally!

Well, Britt, that technical drawing and attention to detail paid off! I can immediately see that this is an MG, late fifties, early sixties. Well done, it's a great painting.
