6x6 oil on panel. for some reason this looks very washed out. it looks very different in real life. of course...the fact that we're having a wind storm here in southern indiana and it fell over as i was trying to photograph it...didn't help!!

I really like the colours and the slant in the pear. It gives the pear personality

well i just see i said  "bocs"...bocs?..i meant bosc!! and we all know they are sort of a golden color!  thanks for your comments suzy!

thanks nancy - the fact that i was using a bocs pear and not a green one made the colors very different from all the others.  i couldn't use the pallette richard suggested -i'll try and be a a better student next time around!

I can't imagine that the original painting is any better than this. I love how loose and free your brush strokes are and the lovely brushy, soft colors you used in the background. Good job. :-)
