Beautiful, Jan. I just love it!! Nice that you paint together with your grandchildren. I mis mine, they loved it also to paint together with me, and my grandson is already very talented. They are now 11 and 9 years, but I've seen them for two years now.

Thank you for describing how you did this painting.  I was not familiar with gouache.   It is wonderful that you paint with your grandchildren.

I'm happy that you and others enjoyed this work..

Gouache on canson paper  32 * 41 cm

Gouache is an opaque watercolor paint. Whereas transparent watercolors allow you to see the "white" of the paper below the paint, gouache can be applied in solid colors. This allows an artist to paint in layers from dark to light.

I use yhis material when I paint together with my little grand dauighter of 4 en my grandson of 7 years. Beautiful material and easy to use for children

This painting glows, beautiful lighting, colors, brushwork.
