About the workshops, I asked Richard and he said you could still paint from the photos if you want, but that they would not be critiqued or posted by him. The workshops are focused on still life right now so I might wait until a future workshop where he dives back into landscapes. No need to feel ashamed though :) I'm sure there are plenty others.

I want to be impressionistic and allow people to interpret marks as they will but fear has held me back. It's a funny thing but I am only now beginning to be "okay" with my ability to paint and so it doesn't matter so much if someone doesn't like something I do. It's one of the things I like about being on this site - everyone has a different approach, style, eye and Richard creates such a positive atmosphere that there is no need to be afraid. Goodness! I've gotten a bit deep! What about your art journey? When did you begin?

yeah all life is adventure (some times strange.... It looks at moments that more scary then paraglider jump, is to paint a pear...(and greater pleasure then)

I did improve a lot during that year (2010). It's been ages since I updated my profile and so last year I really worked on improving my knowledge of theory. This year I am committing myself to entering the workshops each month. To be honest I really grapple with keeping things loose. It is so nice to meet you :)
