"Quiet Reflections"

Acrylic on canvas 13 1/2" x 19". I completed this painting yesterday - finally stopped fiddling! We are heading away at the end of next week until the end of August, so hope to find plenty of new painting material along the way!

But it is unlikely as we will probably only be passing through Townsville and not stopping. But you never know. I'm so pleased that you have such fond memories of Australia and hope that you continue to recognise parts of this country through my landscape paintings. What a very different climate and country you are living in now which I can see from your paintings - beautiful but different! In fact that is one of the good things I notice about this site - getting the opportunity to see everybody's country through their eyes.

These paintings are from photographs I have taken on our travels around both the state and the county. We are in fact heading to Townsville in a few weeks time and then west to Karumba on the Gulf before heading west again. I'm really looking forward to it and hope to do some paintings along the way.
