Thank you all for your great comments! This was a commission for someone who requested a "cheery, colorful, impressionist" piece, but wanted the feel of a rainy Paris street (even though the photo was in California) I changed the umbrella, added the red scarf, and painted her face without the sunglasses she had on. It was a fun painting to do and it was pretty popular on my Facebook page, which makes me think I need to do some similar paintings on my own.
