red glasses my little helper

So Ive discovered I have problems with seeing values when color is added. These little glasses I ordered were cheap ($8) and they help me to see the different subtle changes. The red just seems to cancel out the other colors. I just thought I would share just in case anyone else might have the same problem I do.

I wouldn't worry about the UV because you wouldn't be wearing them that long. I'm using the red value indicator and my value chart with a hole in the value chart. It seems to be helping me recognize and interpret color in value. I remember Richard saying this was difficult but after a while we can learn to see it. Something to do with the way we see colors. I think it was on his DVD "Mastering Color". He really puts together the best teaching DVD's for artists.
