I change the background as I was not happy with it. The white building was too much in the middle and disturbing. I think the painting look "calmer" now as it was to busy at the background. Comments welcome.

Please stop here ; ).  Do a new one if you want to try more changes!  I agree with Jon! The background is doing it's job of staying back. there.  That's all I ask of it.

Hmm, don't kow if it's a good idea to fiddle with one's where there's magic - better is the enemy of best!

Hi Lori, Thanks for your comments and I appreciate your input.  Yes, the building looks better than the previous one, but I new something is still bother me.  I must maybe work a bit more on the door and windows as you suggested, but I do not want the attention to much on the building, sky and trees; they must only be a suggestion.  Maybe I did make them to gray.  Thanks for sharing the artist website.  She paints beautiful.

BTW, while on vacation last summer I saw paintings by an artist who did cows..I will try to find her name..your cows remind me of them!! They were the most beautiful paintings in the gallery..when the gallery owner turned the lights low, the highlights on the cows glowed...I expect yours would do the same!

I agree..the building in the first was too dead center. On this building I'm troubled by the shadows in the doorway and window..thinking perhaps they should be in the same hue & value rather than gray in the doorway and blue for the windows..also the window panes would probably not be so solidly painted..rather you might want to show reflection on the glass? The trees in the bg might need some graying down to suggest that they are I. Fact in back of the building from our perspective..or father away? Lastly, it must be a very sunny day as the cows have such wonderful light on them, but that's lost in the sky..I don't know how I'd fix that bc I realize you want the sky to recede thus keeping it cooler...I don't know if ANY of this makes sense Aurelia..you are further along in your studies than I, so this is just intuitive.
