oil on board, 40 x 60 cm

Tried the subject again, now I wish I'd extended and rearranged the scene/composition. The tree gave me a lot of problems - I have some ideas for solutions now (too late - until it dries!) - so, I should do 2 or 3 studies of just the tree to try them out, I guess...

The tree is very well done, Jon .... ... and yes ... maybe a few thumbnails to improve your composition would be beneficial??

Jon, I tried moving this over on my computer screen to crop off some of the building on the right (the low one) just beside the window - that seems to improve the composition, making the tree more of the focal point - maybe also improving the shapes of that house.   Just an idea....  I like the shape of the tree trunk & its branches!
