Oil on canvas. Yes, I finally got the tying this tractor down to the ground. It was up there floating a bit so darkened the shadows under the tyres and it made such a difference. Thank you for your help.:-)

Thank you Louise.
This just feels so cozy! Love it!
Thank you Dan. It is a lovely part of the country that I live close to. I drive down that road on the right quite a bit to visit a friend in the area.
Very nice, Maria! I want to follow that road and see what's around the bend :)
Hi Michael, many thanks for your help with this painting. I am very much still learning with this one. Oh! yes, I see what you mean. I shall do this. It is great to have others look at the paintings and give help. It not sometimes when it is pointed out that it seems so obvious. I fiddled around quite a bit and gave it several coats of paint. Much appreciated your comments. :-)
Very good Maria ...good composition, color, and drawing. I would like to suggest that the dark values of your tractor are much to light. Those darks cannot be lighter then your tree darks, because the tractor is closer to us in the picture plane. Anyway, suggest you darken your darks of the tractor (not black ..use the value of the tree mass as your guide) ..then paint some darker accents in strategic places ...(under the tires, between the tires and frame, etc.)
Lovely work Maria!! Great job!
Maria, it's excellent!!!! And beautiful! The other day I wenyt with my students to a farm, and I took some photos which I hopeto paint... greatarea of land, but not hilly... the tractor reminded me of it, though it was quite different!!!!
