Oil on canvas. Yes, I finally got the tying this tractor down to the ground. It was up there floating a bit so darkened the shadows under the tyres and it made such a difference. Thank you for your help.:-)

Comment by Michael J. Severin on December 3, 2014 at 5:28: Very good Maria ...good composition, color, and drawing. I would like to suggest that the dark values of your tractor are much to light. Those darks cannot be lighter then your tree darks, because the tractor is closer to us in the picture plane. Anyway, suggest you darken your darks of the tractor (not black ..use the value of the tree mass as your guide) ..then paint some darker accents in strategic places ...(under the tires, between the tires and frame, etc.)
