Thanks so much for your comments dee I have been looking at the painting and thinking the same Actually lately I hve always been in a hurry and posted it before I was completely satisfied. I will revisit the background on my next day off and lets see what happens Great advice I also feel the pears are needing a "do" mmm will be a make over maybe Thanks again Dee for taking the time to comment
Annie, I really like the quiet blue cast in the colours of the fruit and jug, and somehow the background feels unfinished, like it doesn't quite belong...maybe you could look at where you could soften or lose some of the edges between the objects and the background...like you have in those wonderful reflections!
