Barbara, think of keeping your strongest contrasts away from the edges and more at your focal area. For instance: If you would have switched the red awning and green awning around, your composition would have been much stronger. Also, if you soften the edges of the distant buildings, they will recede and you will create more luminosity. Try softening all edges that go behind things or out the picture.
