This painting is very happy. I am waiting to see  another one from you as a duet, yes, kind of fun.

Thanks Ningning, I'm thinking of doing another with him sitting in front of yellow cactus flowers.  Kind of fun.

Thanks Ana, that was what I was thinking, that the background needed to be more subdued!  Thanks Ann for looking at this, appreciate your eye!  Mainly I was looking at the background, and I thought it was a bit too much.  The little Mexican garden sculpture I painted just as it was, so it really is realistic?!  Thanks for your input Ana and Ann!  Knew I could find help if I posted it!

I am not the most qualified person to give advices but I will tell you what I would do with that background: I would grey the colours and I would blur the shapes, more like you've done on the right side of the Mexican, so what ever the shapes in the background they are not defined  and the colour more subdued and merging one into each other. I sincerely hope my explanation will help you. Cheers!

This is just a fun little painting I did of this little guy in my yard.  Asking for some of your expert opinions...thinking I need to push the background back...any other critiques more than welcome....THANKS!
