I admire your restraint in your color pallete... something I find difficult to do. It is so  much harder than it looks and it shows me that you really have good control of values (which I don't). The piece captures the temperature and the mood of the original photo... cold and crisp.

Such a strong painting - I almost want to don my tom-boy clothes and go exploring in the hollows of the tree! Great stuff.
