9x12, I had great feeling when I painted this one. Big brush, muddy color, careless, and quick, what ever ... to see what will be happend.

Simple and great Laura!
Ann, thank you! Can you guess where it is? it is Alviso, on the road side to the park. I went back with my husband and also myself again. I painted there by myself but I wouldn't do this again. It is not very safe place. Waiting for you come back we will paint together. Enjoy with your family Ann!!!
Its a nice change from your other paintings. I like the use of warms that are harmonious. The foreground grass is a nice dark value with intense color, then we go back into the painting where the far hills are soft and cooled. It tells the tale of our drought and warm summer temps. I'm off to Utah tomorrow, lets paint when I get back
Michael, so happy to hear you said that! You know what Peter told me yesterday said He doesn't like this one because of too flat and I told him that He is not a artist. Great! I will let him know this is High Key painting. Actually I do have good feeling on this one. Thank you so much Michael as always!
Great color harmonies ..high key ..and nice lead in. We have some interest in the buildings ...nice depth. Your background hills are very well painted ..those shadows relate to the distance very well. great job, Laura!!
Thank you Jon for your suggestion!
Pretty high-key (which I like) - slightly reinforce some foreground darks/dark foreground accents?
Thank you so much Ian and Betsy!
Ian, I will give a little touch up add some darks on middle ground. Little more water color may be, but not too much. Actually all of mudy color is water on the left side of the painting. It is really strong mudy color like rust color.
Betsy, I had a lot fun to paint mudy color as I can have good excuse to make mudy :)
DO THAT MORE OFTEN. ;-)
I agree with Ian, but what happened overall is very nice!
