I do need to do this. It will help me free up too. I am working in Acrylics. :)

Ha ha Otto, i began doing the same thing combining parts from each. I think i'm still leaning towards the middle right. Really interesting exercise spurred on by Richards small colour studies from the last workshop. Your approach changes with each one simplifying the process & freeing up the mind to make different decisions on colour. That's a big canvas Deb, acrylics or oils? Definately have a go at these small paintings they are so much fun.
Ok, now that a few of us are bugging you, what do you think? Feels like the top rt. has lots of energy for a calm picture. That's kinda what catches my interest. I need to do some of what you are up to. Right now I have a 40"x50" monster on the easel. My husband picked up the free canvas on the side of the road. Big re-cycle job!!!
Dirk, I agree with Deb, you are really good. Upper right grabs my eye also. I think it is the warm light on the roof of the shed and the interesting shapes in the shadows on the shed front. Wish I had your discipline in working things out like this. Stu

Dirk, After posting my last comment, I decided it was inappropriate and rude for me to have created over your creation. My apologies. I think Deb has hit it on the head by her comment. Otto

Dirk, I like the recombination of upper-left! background, upper-right shed, lower-right foreground, middle-left trees (mid).
