I am looking for feedback on this painting. I am not sure if it's too flat and boring, or if it's okay. I was striving for a high key winter landscape. Open to suggestions....
Sorry - this is just a quick camera phone photo, so excuse the glare.

Thanks for suggestions Jan.
sorry for the slip hot = hit
I feel that you want to view the foggy sunlit atmosphere. I like your warm colors they bring the atmosphere but I think that you can hot the cold mainly in the foreground with blues and violets very soft but very cold. So you need the play of warm and cold colors against eacjh other.
Thank you for the comments and suggestions. I knew this wasn't working, but had become frustrated. I scraped it down and started again trying to remember my original intent was to create a misty atmosphere. I still am not satisfied with the misty quality, but I'm going to call this done. (Sorry for the lousy quality photo - camera phone again.)
I like the paint texture and the concept!
Hi Roberta. Study Thomas's painting, "Winter Colors" ..today's outing...(a few posts back). He has a high key snow scene also, but he still utilizes the full range of values ....only compressed. Thomas also employs overlapping and linear movement ..all helping to achieve spatial planes and depth. I have been sitting here, studying your painting for awhile ...I think Thomas"s painting will give you some good ideas.
BRRRRRRRR!!!!
