Thanks Michael!  I see what you mean by breaking up the banks, I have a fairly straight ( diagonal) line, oops!

Super nice, Laurena! ....I like your use of temperature gradation to describe the recession of your grasses.  Your water, with its well painted reflections, is awesome!   One thing I would like to suggest:  Try to avoid straight, uninterrupted  lines or edges. ....like the ones you have along your river banks.  Break those implied lines up a bit by taller clumps of grasses, rocks, etc.
