12"x16" acrylic on canvas.
I painted this from a photograph I took at one of our campsites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia a couple of years ago. It's iron ore country so the soil is a very rich red colour.

Love the colours especially the varied colour of tree trunks. that pale lavender is terrific contrast against the rich earth colours
