Thanks Dorian, and to all those that clicked like. I have posted yet another version Sweatshop24-Finis! with even more suggested changes. So glad you all liked it.
Hi Betsy you are doing very good! Smiles to you : ))
Thank you Kim and Michael! I want this to get better, and I can only do it when good people like you take the time to help me see better! Thanks! I modulated the gray rocks a bit last night. I will take care of that outline today and repost.
Love your humour!!.. Agree with Ann the middle tones on the rocks need to be lighter .. This will achieve two things.1.your eye will not be drawn there and 2. it will give the painting a better balance and achieve greater depth..Well done!
Hey Betsy, very nice modification of the rocks!!! ..looks a lot better now. Be careful of outlining your background hills with the light ..make that more irregular.
Thank you, Ann for taking the time to give me feedback! It's so wonderful to have another set of eyes; it helps so much. I will rethink how to render those rocks. Thanks again.
Your Title made me smile ! I like the light in your sky, it brings life to the painting and makes the viewer want to move back there to explore. The only change that I can see that might help is the line of rocks that are dark grey moving from the middle of the painting to the right are too uniform in shape and monitone in color a little variety would help the viewer to move across the dark wall and on to the light. Hope this helps !
Thank you so much, Montalvo! Something is still bugging me with this, but I just cant put my finger on it. Sometimes you just have to spend time with it, to figure it out. This project really kicked me in the a**. Which means that it was a GREAT assignment! ;-)
Good job!
