This is the exact palette we used for the 'grey' workshop. I hate leftover paint so I tried one without those dratted rocks and found it more difficult than my rock painting . I really wish I could tighten my paintings up and if anyone can help me with this I am all for it.

Utrecht brand of their professional bristle, series 201 oil brushes are real good!!  I also use Silver Grande Prix ..an excellent bristle brush.  For soft brushes, I like the synthetic sables and mongoose.  If you are working with water mixable, then use need to use the synthetic bristle brush.

You have your own unique style Donna which is very beautiful - stick with it and just enjoy it like the rest of us are!! I love your colourful sky in this one and the figures on the beach are great too.

I do thank each of you for the ego boost as an artist but where does one draw the line between impressionistic and sloppiness ? Perhaps I need new brushes with a cleaner , sharper edge? On that note , can any of you recommend to me some good oil paint brushes. I have bristle and synthetic and mostly use brights....I need to order more ASAP.

Me too!  Dang.  Your colors just captivate me!  And, the loose detail is so fascinating.

I with Michael on this one! I need to paint more loosely. Tightly drawn usually means more hard edges, especially in high contrast areas. I wouldn't change your style one bit. I love your paintings!
