Saturday at the Beach

This is the exact palette we used for the 'grey' workshop. I hate leftover paint so I tried one without those dratted rocks and found it more difficult than my rock painting . I really wish I could tighten my paintings up and if anyone can help me with this I am all for it.

I also use Silver Grande Prix ..an excellent bristle brush. For soft brushes, I like the synthetic sables and mongoose. If you are working with water mixable, then use need to use the synthetic bristle brush.

Perhaps I need new brushes with a cleaner , sharper edge? On that note , can any of you recommend to me some good oil paint brushes. I have bristle and synthetic and mostly use brights....I need to order more ASAP.

Comment by Betsy Jenkins on August 12, 2013 at 4:24: I with Michael on this one! I need to paint more loosely. Tightly drawn usually means more hard edges, especially in high contrast areas. I wouldn't change your style one bit. I love your paintings!
