Thank you Montalvo, and Jan. As to the mud thing/ I agree completely. I love the play of light and dark, color is the star for me, and beautiful grey's are the supporting cast. (The "Muddy-Hairy" was tongue-in-cheek from a day of fighting brushes that were leaving hair all over, which meant disturbing paint layers, which equaled the beginning of "mud". Even that was conducive to the learning experience (perhaps more than anything else.) I'm really enjoying the freedom of just putting down the paint loosely and seeing what happens!
Lovely painting Carolyn! Mud in the right places are actually good as they are warm or cool grays. If everything were vibrant color, our eyes would tire of the painting soon. So grays (or mud) actually make color sing in a painting. Cute name though!
Very nice Carolyn, very colorful.
Thank you Michael. You are such an exceptional artist, I really value your comments.
Very beautiful Carolyn!! ...Nice clean color!
Hi Robin and Joy, appreciate that you "liked" my Sunset.
Hi Sharon, I just peeked at your work for the first time. You are a wonderful, accomplished painter, I can see you enjoy vibrant color as well. I appreciated you viewing and your comment. I'm behind looking at all the work that is being done, but I will return to yours as well.
Carolyn, an exciting vibrant painting
Thank you so much, Silvana...What a relief to be done. And what a very, very informative lesson and challenge this Workshop 25 has been. (And it ain't over yet! Wonder what RR has in mind for "Project 1??) Oh, and I appreciated the "like". Hope you are progressing well on yours
