I don't have patience to wait for paint to dry so I can continue painting. So I had an epiphany. If tissue paper absorbs the oil from my face when I am freshening up my makeup. Would it work on a painting. It did. I am painting this rose and am doing the subsequent layers. It absorbed some of the oil on this layer and allowed me to keep on painting on top of it. It didnt work on the soupy first layers and I definitely wouldn't recommend it on thick paint as it may smear it. You just gently lay the tissue over the part you need to soak up the oil and dab ever so lightly with the back of your hand. Gently pull off the tissue and its ready to receive your next coat. I thought to share it. If it helps anyone Im glad.

I don't work with oils; but, I have to say the colors in your rose are exquisite!
