Good contrast of dark and light.

The dark in water really helps the light.  I love the shadow side of the rocks.

Thanks to everyone for the lovely comments. I really enjoyed the workshop and will definitely try another. I find copying other artists work is a great way to learn and pick up tips.

I love the deep shadows in the water - the water generally - and all the rock work - and the sails are lovely too!

I also love your water Sue the broken colours are working together well, good observation and painting on the rocks too - and your boat and sail are well drawn with a beautifully bold sail
