Painted from my Dutch daughter-in-law's gorgeous photos of their visit last week to a stunningly beautiful tulip farm. Used a combination of 3 photos. Any suggestions to improve the sky? Finding it such a challenge to get it right. If I add intensity to the blues, it tends to look too stormy. Does it look sunny? I've looked at it so long I'm not sure anymore! I've used a combination of UB, cerulean blue, phthalo blue, tiny amounts of lemon yellow, phthalo green and alizarin crimson & lots of TW.

Thanks a lot Lori - I appreciate your taking the time to check it out & give me your encouraging comments!  A Dutch friend looked at this painting a couple of days ago and asked me "what is that red in the background" so I'm doubly glad to have a painter's approval of what was meant to give an impression of tulips in the distance!

wonderful Jess!  I think the sky is just fine, love that bit of red tulips - nice soft, abstract lead in to the more detailed house and trees..those trees are amazing!
